Colorado

A couple of weeks ago, I spent a few days on top of a mountain in Colorado.  The winding dirt road up the mountain seemed endless... lol   but it really felt nice and cool up there.  :)

The view from the deck was beautiful and the air smelled so crisp and fresh....

I enjoyed watching clouds form below the mountain top...

I could see for miles...

It was a nice break from the Oklahoma heat.  Did my soul some good too.
I probably should go more often!  :)

I have only been through Colorado once but I sure do remember how beautiful it was.

I can believe that was a really welcome relief from what you've been living with.

Hi Lisa! Hope you are having a nice weekend. :)
It is beautiful up there, I liked being high enough to see for miles. Guess I still like open spaces. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Mark! How's retirement going? I know you are probably working harder now than ever. :)
I enjoyed the wildlife up there... saw plenty of deer, fox and even a bear in the back yard off the deck.
They said mountain lions were in their driveway the week before.
Guess it's a pretty busy area. lol

Hope your weekend is going well!

Retirement's going good Jeanie. I fell so free, yet still kinda tied down just knowing that winter is coming and there is a house that needs to be built. I'm glad you got to see some different wildlife, it looks like a bit of a wildlife haven from the pictures. Beautiful spot. No moose though? I know you're just itching to see some moose, or maybe you already have, I don't know.

I'm glad to hear it's going good for you Mark! :)
I'm sure you are keeping pretty busy with your house too. Hope you get moved in before snow flies. :)
No moose on the mountain! I have yet to see one in the wild but I would love to someday!

Hope you're having a nice night Mark. :)

Looks peaceful Jeanie. I could go for a weekend there for sure. I suppose that is the flatlander version of going to the beach?

Have a good one,

Bill
